Ohnuki Yoichi, a Japanese American astronaut part of the space colony Xenogen towards Mars to obtain a powerful resource. As the Xenogen was headed for its destination it was met with a terrible fate. The space colony was destroyed due to unknown reasons. With many of its occupants dead only a few were spared, but there was no way for any to survive for they were stranded with nothing to get them home. Ohnuki Yoichi was one of many stranded in space with no one but himself. As he drifts farther from his home his life support begins to fail. Yoichi gradually loses oxygen as his mind begins to wonder into the depths of the unknown. His memories are all he has to cherish before he breathes his final breath. Will he find peace with his end or will he die in regret?
